A VEVO check (Visa Entitlement Verification Online) discloses whether visa holders can provide their work entitlements in Australia. A VEVO check is completed online and will verify the following details:

  • Passport Number
  • Passport Nationality
  • Visa Type (class / subclass)
  • Visa Grant Date
  • Visa Expiry Date (if applicable)
  • Work Entitlement (including any conditions)

It allows visa holders to provide employers, education providers and other organisations the status of their visa conditions.

CVCheck’s Australian VEVO Visa Status & Work Entitlement check will verify that an individual has a right to work in Australia by either:

  1. Confirming they’re an Australian citizen or
  2. Conducting a VEVO visa check on non-Australian citizens which confirms their visa status directly with the department of Immigration and Border Protection.

The Australian Department of Home Affairs offers an online service where individuals, employers, education providers and other organisations can check visa conditions. This can be accessed here.

CVCheck can perform a wide range of background checks via it’s online platform. So if the company you will be driving for requires you to submit a VEVO check and police check, we offer the convenience of both checks in one package – which can be ordered here. Once your results are ready, you can simply download the VEVO check and police check in a single PDF, then pass it on to the company you will be driving for.

Each rideshare, food delivery and courier service has its own process that drivers must follow in order to submit the results of their background checks. We recommend contacting the company you will be driving for to ensure you submit your results certificates to them correctly.

Uber requires all drivers to undergo a police check and VEVO check. You will find current Australian Uber driver requirements on the Uber website.

The police check that Uber requires is a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC), which is also commonly known as a National Police Check (NPC). This check must be completed through Uber’s preferred background screening supplier. Further details about how to conduct this check can be found here.

The VEVO check that Uber requires can be conducted online via the Australian Department of Home Affairs website.

CVCheck can conduct both a National Police Check and VEVO Visa & Work Entitlement Check simultaneously via its online portal. Simply click here to place your order and have both of these products added to your cart. As Uber advises drivers to obtain checks from their preferred background screening supplier, CVCheck recommends you contact Uber prior to purchasing checks to ensure they will be accepted.

About CVCheck

This is the part where we are supposed to talk to you about how long we’ve been in business and how our online platform makes it easy to order and share your police check, or other employment information. But, let’s face it. You’re busy, and you don’t care about the 800,000 people we’ve helped before you.

You’re wondering why you should use CVCheck instead of some other provider. We get it … sometimes it’s hard to tell them apart.

So, let’s do something a little different. Let’s go back to the beginning of CVCheck to see why you’re important to us and how you can know that we actually care. That we understand how important your check results are for starting a job, getting licensed, or getting on with life somehow.

You see, right from the beginning (in 2006) we designed our entire platform around you, as an individual. By that I mean, we ensured none of our checks can be done without your consent. We set everything up so you have access to your check results whether they were ordered by you or by an employer.

So, while we work with thousands of employers and some of Australia’s biggest names, we’ve always understood that employment happens one person at a time.

Lastly, the employers you’ll be working with know and trust CVCheck. That’s important because your check is no good to you if your result is not accepted. If you order through us, you can have 100% confidence that your next employer will trust and accept the results you hold with us. In fact, we guarantee it.

At the end of the day, we’ve helped thousands of people from hundreds of professions including job seekers, students, health workers, tradesmen, professionals, volunteers … and many more.

And we can help you too.

Since 2004, our vision has been to help individuals and businesses share verified information safely to build trusted relationships.
