A police check in ACT is a ‘point-in-time’ check with no formal period of validity. Current from the date of issue, many employers and organisations will only accept a police check that has been issued in the past 12 months.

Formally known as a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, a police check in ACT costs $49.90 including GST.

However, approximately 30% of checks ordered within Australia are referred for manual processing. When this happens, results may take 1 – 15 business days to be returned.
