CVCheck’s Personal Property Securities Register check will search an electronic register where secured parties can register details about their security interests. Typically, personal property will be included on the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) when an individual has bought personal property on hire purchase or uses personal property as security for a loan or another type of credit providing transaction.
This check is particularly useful for occupations that involve financial responsibility and to gain further insight into an individual’s personal financial situation.
The PPSR does not record financial details of the transaction (eg, the amount borrowed or the value of the personal property). Secured parties remove their security interests from the PPSR when the money (for example) has been repaid.
The information provided in this search will include the following details of the debtor:
• Name
• Date of birth
• Address
• Description of the personal property
Note: This check is conducted on an individual’s current full name, so if an individual was known by any other names, it is recommended that a Personal Property Securities Register Check (Previous Name) be conducted on each additional name.
